Brings back happy memories of the Burns nights when in my younger years.

I weep as I read all these comments, my father, my grandfathers a great grandfather, and I’m named after one ancestor who was named after a brother who died in the the disaster that was the Blantyre explosion in Lanarkshire Scotland in the late 19 century. My father would tell us none of his sons would go down the mine. We didn’t.

I vividly recall this being played as a pre evening cabaret track at Pontins Sand Bay holiday camp in Weston-super-Mare. I was there in 1997 and 1998 as a British Red Cross volunteer where we'd take a group of elderly and less abled folks away for the week. I purchased the CD single and i still have it to this day. Lots of happy memories and a truly fabulous piece of music ❤

She was the most amazing woman and mother of seven kids who love and admire her 😊

Fantastic,,,,,,,,,,I heard this song while in the hospital a week or two after a serious surgery, I was 11, or 12 years old I am 66 now and I can feel this song in the depths of my soul, thank you Sammy it's quite late but this song is classic and I love it!!!!
